Who is the Messiah?

Let me start by saying that if you have not read The Everlasting Light of Life, please do so before going any further.  In it we established that The Heavenly Father created the Light on day one which is The Everlasting Light of Life that is made up of The Word/Commands/Law, the Light of Life, the Breath of Life and Love. We also established that the Holy Spirit or Ruach HaKodesh is the Breath that animates the body to speak, think and act according to the Word.  We went over how everything was spoken into creation and was made through and by the Word/Light. We will do a quick recap of some of the key verses, so it is fresh on our minds.

Genesis 1:2-4 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was LIGHT.
4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness..

Psalm 119:130 The entrance of THY WORDS giveth LIGHT; it giveth understanding unto the simple.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was(of) God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men

Isaiah 55:11 so is MY WORD that goes out from my mouth —it will not return to me unfulfilled;but it will accomplish what I intend, and cause to succeed what I sent it to do.”.

Psalm 33:6-9 By THE WORD of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. 7 He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses.8 Let all the earth fear the Lord: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.9 For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.

Psalm 112:4 Unto the upright there ariseth LIGHT in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.

Isaiah 8:20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to THE WORD, it is because there is NO LIGHT in them.

Psalm 119:105  THY WORD is a lamp unto my feet, and a LIGHT unto my path.

James 1:17-18 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. 18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.

Matthew 4:4 (KJV) But he answered and said, It is written [Deuteronomy 8:3], Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every WORD that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Now that we have the general concept, let’s go back again and see what we have been told since the beginning.  The way the story of Adam and Eve is written, it makes it appear as though they were ignorant and didn’t know what Good was, I however am going to point out otherwise.  First we know they had access to the Tree of Life, and they were Given Instructions, which we can correlate as knowledge of Good.  They were told what they could eat in the garden and that they could eat freely from the Tree of Life, but there was a forbidden food that they were told not to eat from it because if they ate from it the result would be death.  Then they ate forbidden fruit they were warned would result in Death and the Tree of Life was removed.   When we just look at the main points we see the bigger picture of what took place, so now let’s break it down.  The Eternal gave them Instructions/The Word/Knowledge of Good and if they followed The Word/Instructions they could eat from the Tree of Life, but they rejected or ignored The Word/Instructions and were deceived into eating the forbidden fruit, and the Tree of Life was removed. Did the knowledge of the Word/Instructions result in Death? No, but turning away from it and turning toward that which is Evil does though.  So even from the very beginning we see the choice of Life/Good and Evil/Death set before them, where they were basically told if they Follow the Instructions/The Word/Commands, the result was getting to eat from the Tree of Life, but if they turned away from them and disregarded the Instructions/The Word/Commands, and chose to Follow Evil instead the result would be Death.  Here the means of “salvation” so to speak, was following The Word/Instructions/Voice of the Eternal.

The Hebrew word mashiach (המשיח, Messiah), means “anointed,” and so does the Koine Greek word Christós (Χριστός, Christ). Although it is erroneously believed to simply be anointed with holy oil, that is not the case, the Messiah would have to be anointed with something more than just that. From a more Hebraic perspective there have been many Messiah’s, so how could there be more than one Messiah? There isn’t more than one, there is only one true Messiah, and there is nothing or no one more anointed than the Everlasting Light of Life from day one, that is made up of The Word (instructions/law), Light of Life, Breath of Life and Love. Now with that being said, that is also the reason many men have been considered to be Messiah’s; if the Light from day One spoke through various men throughout history, they were the Messiah in a sense because the Messiah was speaking through them. However, there is one man who does stand out among the rest, and although many spoke his words, only one man was anointed with an unlimited portion of the Light/Word from day One, placing the Everlasting Light of Life in it’s entirety, within one man to dwell among us. But just because it became flesh and dwelt among us, does not make it a “New” concept or messiah, but rather the only Messiah there has ever been, since day one. Remember The Heavenly Father does not change, He was the same yesterday, today and tomorrow, and beside Him, through His Light/Word that He gave us at the very beginning, there is no savior. Now that we have put things in a different perspective, we will walk through the scriptures knowing that the Heavenly Father spoke through the Light from day one, and the Light from day one can speak through the mouth of a man.

Isaiah 43:11  I, even I, am the Lord, And besides Me there is no savior.

Hosea 13:4  Yet I am the Lord thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me: for there is no savior beside me.

John 14:10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? THE WORDS that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, HE doeth the works.

When we fast forward from the beginning a little we see the same, follow the Word and live, scenario in Deuteronomy 11:26-27; now, fast forward all the way to what Yeshua says regarding what one must do for Eternal Life or to eat from the Tree of Life.

Matthew 19:16-21 (KJV) 16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? 17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. 18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, 19 Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 20 The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? 21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.

Revelation 22:14 (KJV) Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

Nothing changed, and once again we see the means of “salvation” being to follow The Word/Commands/Instructions, although this is not a completely simple task so it requires a little more than just knowing what they are, as we saw with Adam and Eve, which is why Yeshua followed the response with also telling Him to go and sell what he had.  Following is a FREE WILL choice, and we must have enough Love for Him to want to follow HIS will selflessly instead of selfishly. But this gives us the basics for understanding that The Word is the main focus. Now it is time for us to start making some Distinctions and putting it all together.  When one refers to the Word of the Eternal or the Living Word, rather than thinking about it as literally being the The Everlasting Light of Life from day one which is the True, Living Word, Breathed from the Mouth of the Eternal, it is often thought of merely as a Book, whether it be the Torah, Tanakh, New Testament, or something else.  I would like for all to keep in mind though that while Scriptures are Testimonies written by Men about The Word, they themselves are NOT the True, Living Word, Breathed from the Mouth of the Eternal.  This is another part that is hard to understand, but we must realize the very essence of the Breath of the Eternal brings forth Life, so Indeed HIS Word is LIVING, but for some reason it goes right over our heads. There were indeed Prophets, who knew The Word of the Eternal, and HIS Word was even said to have been in the Mouth of Jeremiah, and to some degree that is true, but there is also a difference between Yeshua(Jesus) and the other Prophets, and that is the amount of Truth one has.  Just because one is given measures of Truth/Word, and is able to speak concerning various parts of Truth, it still does not make them all knowing of the Entire Word of the Eternal.  The Spirit of Truth, without measure(unlimited), makes up the Entire Word of the Eternal, and it is complete Truth, with no error in it because it came directly from The Eternal Himself.

Since the beginning there has been a history of temporarily following The Word/Light, and then getting deceived by the adversary into turning away from The Word/Light; However, each time, The Word was sent or reiterated in part to correct them. Initially, The Word/Light itself corrected Adam and Eve, The Word/Light itself attempted to correct them at the coming out of Egypt, but the people feared and did not want The Word/Light to speak to them, they wanted Moses (a man) sent instead.

Exodus 20:19  And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die.

Deut. 18:18  I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put MY WORD in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.

Before Moses had even made it back down from the mountain, they built themselves a golden calf to worship. So, from Moses forward The Word/Light, in part, was sent through men, at least until it came in its entirety, descending from heaven like dove. However, they crossed the Jordan and falsehoods began getting mixed in with the Word they were given, and every prophet that was sent to correct them, so that through them they might know The Word/Light, they killed.

Jeremiah 8:8 “‘How can you say, “We are wise; Adonai’s Torah is with us,”
when in fact the lying pen of the scribes has turned it into falsehood?

Isaiah 24:5 “the earth is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the ordinances, changed the Torah and broken the everlasting agreement”

Hosea 6:6 “For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.” 7 But they LIKE ADAM have transgressed the covenant: there have they dealt treacherously against me.

Matthew 9:13  “But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

Jeremiah 7:22  “For I didn’t speak to your ancestors or give them orders concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices when I brought them out of the land of Egypt.”

Hosea 8:13  “They offer me sacrifices of flesh and eat them, but ADONAI does not accept them. Now he will recall their crimes and punish their sins — they will return to Egypt.”

Hosea 4:6  My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge:[…]

As we covered already in the Coming Out of Mystery Babylon, they listened just long enough after the Babylonian captivity and destruction of the temple, to be returned to Jerusalem and then they killed Jeremiah and turned away again and rebuilt the Temple. So, The Everlasting Light of Life, which is The Word/Light in its entirety, was sent to dwell within a man, so that truth could be restored and that we could know and follow The Truth/Word/Light to be able to have right to eat from the Tree of Life.

Matthew 21:33-40   33 “Now listen to another parable. There was a farmer who planted a vineyard. He put a wall around it, dug a pit for the winepress and built a tower; then he rented it to tenants and left. 34 When harvest-time came, he sent his servants to the tenants to collect his share of the crop. 35 But the tenants seized his servants — this one they beat up, that one they killed, another they stoned. 36 So he sent some other servants, more than the first group, and they did the same to them. 37 Finally, he sent them his son, saying, ‘My son they will respect.’ 38 But when the tenants saw the son, they said to each other, ‘This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him and take his inheritance!’ 39 So they grabbed him, threw him out of the vineyard and killed him. 40 Now when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those tenants?”

Luke 3:21-22  21 When all the people were baptized, it came to pass that Jesus also was baptized; and while He prayed, the heaven was opened. 22 And the Holy Spirit descended in bodily form like a dove upon Him, and a voice came from heaven which said, “This is My beloved Son; in whom I am well pleased.”

John 1:32  And John bore witness, saying, “I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and He remained upon Him. 33 I did not know Him, but He who sent me to baptize with water said to me, ‘Upon whom you see the Spirit descending, and remaining on Him, this is He who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’ 34 And I have seen and testified that this is the Son of God.”

John 3: 33  Whoever does accept what he says puts his seal on the fact that God is true, 34 because the one whom God sent speaks God’s words. For God does not give him the Spirit in limited degree

John 1:1-14 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was(of) God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. 6 There was a man sent from God, to John [verse corrected due to prior mistranslation] 7 This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the LIGHT, that all through him might believe. 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9 That was the TRUE LIGHT which gives LIGHT to EVERYONE COMING INTO THE WORLD. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. 11 He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. 12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in Him: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 14 And THE WORD became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of THE ONLY BEGOTTEN OF THE FATHER, full of grace and truth.

After the man was baptized with the Everlasting Light of Life from day one, he became one with the Heavenly Father and one with the Everlasting Light of Life from day one, and that is when his ministry began. However, to make sure, is anything said to imply an existence before the man in whom he dwelt existed? Yes, as we will see below:

Genesis 15:1 After these things THE WORD of the Lord came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.

John 8:55-58 (KJV) 56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad. 57 Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? 58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.

Time to brace yourselves because this is where we start seeing the difference between that which is True, and that which is taught. Remember what we have learned, that sacrifice was never commanded by the Most High, and that is because by the shedding of innocent blood there is no remission of sin, it only further condemns. The Most High is NOT inferior making Him incapable of forgiving sin, and where there is forgiveness, there is no debt to be paid. Let that really sink in for a second, where there is forgiveness, there is NO DEBT! Let’s look a little closer at what the parable from Matthew said.

Matthew 21: 37-39  37 Finally, he sent them his son, saying, ‘My son they will respect.’ 38 But when the tenants saw the son, they said to each other, ‘This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him and take his inheritance!’ 39 So they grabbed him, threw him out of the vineyard and killed him.

What did the Everlasting Light from day One inherit? The world and everything within it. What did the man who became One with the Word/Light inherit?  Eternal/Everlasting life!  So now I must ask, is the parable true, and was it really a foreshadowing of what had been and what would later happen? Is it taught that by his death and claiming the innocent bloodshed of this man upon yourselves that you can acquire eternal life? Unfortunately, it is, and this is where we start see that the Truth is so close, yet so very far away. Once again there was another turning away and everything was centered around his flesh and his death, falsely claiming him to be a sin sacrifice so that anyone who simply believed in his existence and covered themselves in his blood  could gain the eternal life that he inherited, instead of seeing him as The Word/Light in the flesh and believing what he taught and following his example of how to become one with the Father through the Word/Light(the Messiah) so that we too can inherit eternal life for ourselves.

Exodus 23:7 Keep thee far from a false matter; and the innocent and righteous slay thou not: for I will not justify the wicked.

Jeremiah 7:31 They have built the high places of Tofet in the Ben-Hinnom Valley, to burn their sons and daughters in the fire, something I never ordered; in fact, such a thing never even entered my mind!

Isaiah 1:15 “And when you hold out your hands, I hide My eyes from you; even though you make many prayers, I do not hear. Your hands have become filled with blood.

Jeremiah 7:5-10 No, but if you really improve your ways and actions; if you really administer justice between people; if you stop oppressing foreigners, orphans and widows; if you stop shedding innocent blood in this place; and if you stop following other gods, to your own harm; then I will let you stay in this place, in the land I gave to your ancestors forever and ever. Look! You are relying on deceitful words that can’t do you any good. First you steal, murder, commit adultery, swear falsely, offer to Ba‘al and go after other gods that you haven’t known. 10 Then you come and stand before me in this house that bears my name and say, ‘We are saved’ — so that you can go on doing these abominations!

Understand, that modern day Christianity is not really based on what Yeshua(Jesus) taught, instead it is based on what Paul taught and is a Pauline Doctrine. So we must actually review and test the things which Yeshua is said to have taught, based on the foundation we established.

John 14:10  Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? THE WORDS that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, HE doeth the works.

John 16:28 “I came from the Father and have come into the world; again, I am leaving the world and returning to the Father.”

Isaiah 55:11 so is MY WORD that goes out from my mouth —it will not return to me unfulfilled;but it will accomplish what I intend, and cause to succeed what I sent it to do.”.

John 8:12 Yeshua spoke to them again: “I AM the LIGHT of the world; whoever follows me will NEVER walk in darkness but will have THE LIGHT which gives LIFE.”

Psalm 33:4 For THE WORD of Adonai is right; and all his works are done in TRUTH.

John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep MY WORDs: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

From what we see here, he taught the same thing that was taught from the beginning which was to follow The Word, and that he was the Word. Many people will make a big deal over the man’s name whom The Word become one with, however, while I no longer use “Jesus” which is the English transliteration of the Greek name “Iesous”, I do not go crazy over it because the most important thing is that we identify his character, plus he tells us he is not come in his own name but in His Father’s name that sent him. Furthermore it was the Heavenly Father, through His Word/Light, who was speaking through Yeshua(Jesus).

John 5:43  I am come in my FATHER’S NAME, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.(Paul?)

Exodus 3:14  14 God said to Moshe, “Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh [I AM, was and will be],” and added, “Here is what to say to the people of Isra’el: ‘Ehyeh [I Am or I Will Be] has sent me to you.’”

Revelation 1:8  I AM Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

Isaiah 44:6 Thus saith the Lord the King of Israel, and his redeemer the Lord of hosts; I AM the first, and I AM the last; and beside me there is no God.

Revelation 19:12-14 (CJB) 12 His eyes were like a fiery flame, and on his head were many royal crowns. And he had a name written which no one knew but himself. 13 He was wearing a robe that had been soaked in blood, and the name by which he is called is, “THE WORD OF GOD.” 14 The armies of heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and pure, were following him on white horses.

Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but MY WORDS shall not pass away.

Although we have already pretty much established it, what did He say he came for? It was not to do away with The Law/Word, nor to be a sin sacrifice in order to give us a get out of jail free card, it was by giving us the Truth and calling us to repent, so that we could turn back to the Most High; but what does Yeshua say?

Matthew 9:13  “But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

John 18:37  Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the TRUTH. Every one that is of the truth heareth my VOICE. [the WORD]

Psalm 33:4 For THE WORD of Adonai is right; and all his works are done in TRUTH.

John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep MY WORDs: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

Matthew 12:7 If you knew what ‘I want compassion rather than sacrifice’ meant, you would not condemn the innocent.

Hosea 8:13   “They offer me sacrifices of flesh and eat them, but ADONAI does not accept them. Now he will recall their crimes and punish their sins — they will return to Egypt.”

John 15:22-24  22 If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloak for their sin. 23 He that hateth me hateth my Father also. 24 If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.

Matthew 5:17-18 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

So, knowing now that the Messiah is the Word/Law/Light that came in the flesh, if it is taught that the Law is Dead, then what is that really saying? It is erroneously saying that The Messiah is dead(or defeated), and done away with, but that is definitely not the case. Do you see now how there was a shift of concepts just enough that it tricked people into thinking they believe in the Messiah, yet in reality they have people rejecting him, rejoicing that he is dead, covering themselves in his innocent blood, and claiming that by doing so they are saved and acquire eternal life. He referenced Nineveh when referring to the generation that shed his blood and he referred to the sign of Jonah, which has several elements we already established: they were worshiping false gods and sacrificing; didn’t know their right hand from their left; and were called to repent or be destroyed.  There is also the part we didn’t cover, which was Jonah spending 3 days and 3 nights in the depths of the abyss.

Matthew 16:4 A wicked and adulterous generation is asking for a sign? It will certainly not be given a sign — except the sign of Jonah!” With that he left them and went off.

Matthew 12:41 The people of Nineveh will stand up at the Judgment with this generation and condemn it, for they turned from their sins to God when Jonah preached, but what is here now is greater than Jonah.

Did they repent? I’m going to go out on a limb here and say, since they crucified him, probably not. In 70 C.E., the Second Temple was destroyed which put an end to animal sacrifice where Judaism was concerned, but the false sacrificial system is going strong within Christianity, that has people claiming Yeshua(Jesus) as their sin sacrifice, and washing their sins away with his innocent blood; which is a key component for making up Mystery Babylon. So, we must be overcomers and come out of Mystery Babylon by overcoming the falsehoods one step at a time. I look back now and cringe when I think about some of my favorite church songs growing up, like “Washed in the Blood of the Lamb”. Having a different mindset makes us see things in a better light, but it also raises other questions, so we are going to go ahead touch on those. The two main questions this raises are “How does one become saved?” and “How is sin forgiven?”.

The first question, “How does one become saved?”, we have already covered to some extent, and the means of salvation is the same as it has been since the beginning, except now we must first repent (t’shuvah), then believe and follow the Messiah/Living Word/Law/Commands faithfully. Soon we will cover what in all that actually entails, but first and foremost we must pray for Him to help us have the love we need for Him to follow His will. The Commands/Laws revolve around love, and can truly be summed up into two main commands once we really understand and that is to love the Most High with all our heart, mind, and soul, and love our neighbors as we love ourselves. When we do those two things everything else falls in place. However, neighbors extends a little beyond what we think of as neighbors, which we will cover more when we talk about the forbidden fruit and the everlasting agreement. Since sin is the transgression of the Law/Word/Commands, it is important to know what it is that we are doing wrong or we cannot repent and turn away from it. When you remove The Word/Law/Commands from the knowledge of the people, you remove their ability to repent and turn back to the Most High.

1 John 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

Matthew 22:36-40 36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

The next question is, “How is sin forgiven?”. As we discussed already, where there is forgiveness, there is no debt, but now we must figure out how we obtain forgiveness. Obtaining forgiveness takes more than just repenting, it equally hinges on our ability to forgive others.

Matthew 6:14-15  For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Matthew 18:21-35  21 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? 22 Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven. 23 Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants. 24 And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents. 25 But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made. 26 The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. 27 Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt. 28 But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest. 29 And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. 30 And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt. 31 So when his fellowservants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done. 32 Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me: 33 shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee? 34 And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him. 35 So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.

1 John 4:20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

If we have love and compassion, and treat others as we desire to be treated, then we are forgiving. If we are not forgiving, then we failed to love our neighbor. So, it is imperative that we be forgiving, and there are times when that can be quite challenging. The concept is easy to grasp, it is just harder to actually do. However, that does not mean that we must keep putting ourselves in a bad position though. If someone owes us money and we forgive them what they owe us, it doesn’t mean that we must continue to give them money, or allow ourselves to be taken advantage of. And, of course, as was already stated, repentance is a must, we cannot ask to be forgiven if we have not stopped doing that which we seek forgiveness for.

At the time of Yeshua(Jesus) there were 3 main sects within Judaism, the Pharisee’s, the Sadducee’s, and the Essenes. ‘The Pharisees and the Sadducee’s were in control of the temple. Yeshua was not a fan of the Pharisee’s and Sadducee’s and all of the Disciples/Apostle’s, as well as John the Baptist, were Essene’s. Their beliefs differed from the Pharisee’s and Sadducee’s, and they were on a different calendar than what was being used at the temple. When we go over the events surrounding the crucifixion, we will go into the two different calendars more.

Matthew 16:12 Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.

Not only were they on different calendars, they also had different practices, and while the text indicates there was a passover lamb for the Last Supper or the Passover, Yeshua and his disciples kept, there are other resources that contradict that, which we will cover in more detail later.

The following sections are being expanded and will be back soon, please check back again tomorrow.
