What We Believe

Very often, we know what we believe, but we don’t really know why we believe it, just that we do.

At Set-Apart Yahad we are not going to tell you something is a certain way just because we say it is; our goal is ultimately to help you in your journey for truth, so that you will not only know what you believe, but also to help you understand why you believe it. It is very easy for us to only want to seek confirmation of what we already believe, so it is important that we first make sure it is truth we are truly seeking.  For more information on why we believe what we do, we encourage you to visit the Learning Center. Also please note that we welcome everyone, regardless of what you believe, the only thing we ask is that you treat others with respect and kindness.

A basic summary of What We Believe:

  • There is only One True Eternal God/Father and Savior;
  • The Eternal does not change, He was the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.
  • That we should be obedient to the Instructions of the Most High, through free will choice and love, not force;
  • The True Original Instructions center around love and life, but the Everlasting Agreement was broken, and the Original Instructions were forsaken and altered;
  • The sacrificial system was a false addition that was not Instructed by the Eternal;
  • The Messiah came to restore the Everlasting Agreement and Original Instructions, but we do not believe he was a sacrifice;
  • Each person is responsible for their own actions;
  • Follow the Ten Commandments;
  • Keep the Sabbath on the 7th Day of the week, which is Saturday, not Sunday;
  • Follow the Everlasting Agreement and therefore we do not eat meat; the only time we had the ability to eat from the Tree of Life was in the beginning when we were all vegetarians, and in the end we will all be vegetarians again (see Isaiah 11), we cannot fill our bodies with death and pray for life.
  • Keep the Feasts as Covenant Renewal and Memorials to honor the Most High for all that HE has done for us;
  • Treat others as we desire to be treated;
  • and, we believe we will each be met with the amount of forgiveness we have and that the measure we use to measure others with, is the same measure we will be measured with.
